Provide support to plan, organize, and administer functions and activities in accordance with short- and long-term goals and objectives of the Hospital and the Professional Codes and Regulations for Nurses.
Work together with the Manager, Nursing Training & Development, and Director of Nursing in developing goals and objectives for the delivery of nursing care for nurses in Medical Centre that are consistent with the area of responsibility, mission, philosophy, and strategic plans of the organization and Nursing Philosophy.
Assist in the compilation of data for competency levels from all nursing areas in Medical Centre.
Clinical
Assist the Director of Nursing, to:
Review and enhance current policies and develop new ones to meet current needs. Conduct nursing training needs analysis.
Enhance department orientation program for new recruits and fresh graduates.
Implement a continuous evaluation system for the monitoring and assessment for staff to maintain their competencies.
Facilities Management
Recommend facilities and equipment that enables the nurses to deliver good nursing care.
Participate in the evaluation of specialized equipment and make appropriate recommendations.
Organize yearly training on specialized equipment by vendor.
Quality Assurance
Conduct internal quality audits with nurse managers on a regular basis as specified in KPI, to identify opportunities for improvement in the area of nursing care.
Assist in preparation of JCI and MSQH and assigned as Chapter Champion to perform audit, training, and relevant tasks accordingly.
Job Requirements:
Diploma in Nursing.
Post Basic Certificate in any discipline.
Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
State Registered Nurse with at least five (5) years clinical experience in the ward.
